TCSA and County Association Affiliates Attend 2026 NACo Annual Conference

NACo’s Annual Conference Marks the Largest Gathering of County Officials Nationwide

This past July 16 – 20, 2026, the Tennessee County Services Association (TCSA), Tennessee County Highway Officials Association (TCHOA), and County Officials Association of Tennessee (COAT) took on the Big Easy! Thousands of county officials, staff, key partners, and private vendors gathered in New Orleans, Louisiana, for the National Association of Counties (NACo) 2026 Annual Conference. 

Through many seminars, workshops, and vendor booths, Tennessee’s county association staff and officials gained a plethora of knowledge about the issues facing counties across the United States. 

Many of the meetings covered common challenges and solutions to address them. Data centers, land use, infrastructure, property taxes, general transportation infrastructure, and artificial intelligence (AI) were just some of the issues county officials discussed in breakout sessions and workshops. 

At the Monday general session, North Carolina Commissioner George Dunlap officially took the helm as NACo President for the 2026 – 2027 term, with Wise County, Texas, Judge J.D. Clark taking his place on the NACo Board as immediate past president.
