Get Involved with TCSA
As a Tennessee County Services Association (TCSA) member, there are many ways to engage, connect, and make an impact. Here are six key ways you can become more involved:
1. Join a Committee or Participate in an Affiliate Organization
Those who step up and engage make decisions that shape the future of Tennessee’s counties. By joining a TCSA committee, you have the opportunity to influence policies and initiatives that affect county government. Contact a TCSA representative today to learn how to become an official committee member.
2. Connect with Your Legislators
Building relationships with Tennessee legislators is essential for ensuring that county voices are heard. Take time to introduce yourself to your local representatives before key issues arise. When legislative decisions are being made, elected officials who have established connections with their legislators are in the best position to advocate effectively.
3. Attend a Conference
TCSA conferences provide valuable networking and professional development opportunities. Join us at one of the following events:
- TCSA County Government Day Conference
- TCSA Legislative Conference
- TCSA Annual Fall Conference & Trade Show
- NACo Legislative Conference
- NACo Annual Conference
These events bring together county leaders from across the state, offering educational sessions, workshops, and discussions on local governments’ most pressing issues. Visit our conference page for more details.
4. Serve on the TCSA Board or an Affiliate Board
Interested in taking on a leadership role? Running for a position on the TCSA Board, a steering committee or an affiliate board is a great way to contribute to the future of county government. Board elections occur at our annual fall conference, with affiliates holding nominating committee meetings in preparation for officer recommendations.
5. Stay Updated with the TCSA Website
We are committed to keeping county officials informed with the latest news, resources, and legislative updates. Visit www.tncounties.org regularly to stay up to date on key issues impacting Tennessee counties.
6. Read Tennessee Counties Magazine & Tennessee County E-News
Stay informed with our regular publications, Tennessee Counties magazine, and Tennessee County E-News. These updates provide insights into legislative decisions, policy changes, and county government news across the state.
