2016 Fire & Emergency Services

• The automatic removal provisions of T.C.A. § 7-86-314(a) provide that a member of the board of directors of an emergency communications district (ECD) is automatically removed from the board for missing a specified number of board meetings.  These provisions apply, by their plain language, to ex officio ECD board members as well as regular members.  Op.
