2004 County Clerks

• A police chaplain who is not ordained as a minister, preacher, pastor, priest, rabbi or other spiritual leader of a religious belief is not authorized to perform a marriage under T.C.A. § 36-3-301.  Opinion No. 04-157 (October 25, 2004).
