2008 Clerks of Court

• A petition or order filed for the purpose of establishing, modifying, and enforcing child support orders is a “pleading” and should be charged fees as such under T.C.A. § 8-21-401(a)(2).  Opinion No. 08-162 (October 10, 2008).

• A general sessions court has the authority to issue subpoenas duces tecum for electronically stored telephone records and other electronic data under 18 U.S.C. ' 2703. Opinion No. 08-136 (August 15, 2008).
